Job Description

• Leads daily operations, ensuring all surgical cases are supported with complete, sterile, and accurate instruments and supplies.
• Trains and mentors new and existing team members on procedures, documentation, and best practices.
• Collaborates with OR leadership to proactively identify needs and resolve workflow concerns.
• Sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies per protocol.
• Assemble trays and packs per case requirements.
• Maintain needed levels of inventory; ensure proper rotation and storage of sterile items.
• Assists with building case carts for scheduled procedures as needed.
• Schedules monthly preventative maintenance and instrument repairs as needed.
• Coordinates with leader upcoming scheduling needs.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and meet productivity standards.
• Complete biological, mechanical, and chemical indicators accurately.
• Operate department computer systems and manage documentation.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and Standard Precaution guidelines.
