At Luxfer Gas Cylinders , we’re dedicated to innovation and quality in everything we manufacture. We’re working on an exciting short-term project to optimize production, and we’re looking for a motivated individual who is looking to gain hands-on experience working with experience engineers and technicians.

The Opportunity:

Essential Functions

• Support the Manufacturing Engineering team through the management of various projects.
• Coordinate repairs of Maintenance Machinery impacting productions
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.
• Assist in conducting data analysis and developing recommendations for process improvement.
• Observe and document daily production scrap
• Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and provide support as needed.
• Perform engineering change processes as necessary to support existing products
• Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
• Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
• .Other duties as needed or required.

  Education/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automation, or Industrial Engineering or verifiable experience and vocational training in automation applications. Will also consider completed coursework in the pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree. 
• Coursework and/or knowledge of statistics and tooling design (SolidWorks a plus).
• Ability to read and prepare technical documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Compensation: $24-$28/Hour
• Length of Assignment 8-10 Weeks, Monday to Friday,40 hours, Onsite, Must be available for full-time work through October with the possibility of extension depending upon project timeline.
