Job Description

About The Position:

The PRN PACU/Pre-Op circulating nurse is responsible for the observation, assessment, education, and care of plastic surgery patients (pre-op/recovery). You would be a great fit with our team if you are positive, friendly, and passionate about giving patients a great experience. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate nurse with a high professional standard for patient care. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills are highly valued. Additional position needs include a fastidious attention to detail when completing daily responsibilities, closed-loop communication, and adherence to all surgery-related regulatory and safety standards. This position would be a great fit for a nurse who enjoys working as part of a close-knit high-functioning team but who is also proactive, independent, and reliable. This is a position to cover shifts on a PRN basis, with more regular shifts being scheduled from October 2025 - January 2026. Shifts start in the AM no sooner than 8am, at varied times depending on surgery cases, and ends at shift change at 7pm.

Our Surgery Center is a boutique AAAASF-certified surgery suite with one operating room and 2 bed recovery unit. We provide a high level of individualized care for plastic surgery patients. Our goal is to provide the best experience and outcome to our patients. We also value providing a positive and rewarding work environment for our team that emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida State RN License (required).
  • Current ACLS and BLS approved by FL state (required).
  • OR, PACU, Pre-op experience (preferred).
  • ICU/ED experience (required).
  • Plastic Surgery clinical experience (preferred).
  • Proficient in IV skills.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
  • Understand the principles of the aseptic technique and their implementation.
