Import Export Compliance Specialist - TCRS4555

HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Import Export Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing support to the compliance team focusing on supervision of export and import compliance, assisting in the audit of AES records, screening business partners and aiding with the improvement and implementation of policies and training programs.

This position is 100% in office in the Buffalo, NY area.

EXPECTATIONS

• Assist in developing and training on global procedures and processes
• Working knowledge of HTS/ECCN classification, Country of Origin, FTA
• Identify and correct errors or missing data in invoices, SLI, customs entries and export declarations
• Perform background and restricted party screening on new partners

ESSENTIALS

• 2-3 years’ Experience working with international freight forwarders and customs brokers
• High school diploma required, college degree preferred
• Ability to work independently under pressure
• Solid communication skills with internal and external partners
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with great attention to detail
• Customs Broker’s License preferred
