Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated Billing Accountant to join a dynamic and growing health testing company. As a Billing Accountant, you'll play an integral role in supporting the Finance and Accounting Department, performing a variety of essential tasks. These tasks include handling Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning, Payroll, Purchasing, and Revenue Management.
In this role, you will frequently collaborate with management from various business lines, taking on primary responsibility for key revenue streams as well as managing vendor and customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Medical Billing, experience with SAP, and ideally hold a current CPA License. Excellent analytical and communication skills are a must for this position.
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position based in Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Customer Service Team to process new customer orders.
Create and upload data into the accounting system (SAP).
Manage historical billing data within company systems.
Analyze and validate billing, operational, and customer data to ensure accuracy.
Conduct system and process audits to ensure accurate invoicing procedures.
Monitor and record receipts.
Reconcile customer account statements on a weekly and monthly basis.
Follow up with customers on overdue balances.
Work closely with the Account Management Team to ensure billing accuracy and resolve customer issues.
Respond promptly and accurately to internal requests from Accounting, Sales, Customer Success, and Senior Management.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls, policies, procedures, and process documentation.
Take on ad-hoc projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Finance required.
At least 3 years of accounting experience with a current CPA License required.
Previous experience in Healthcare Tech and Medical Billing is preferred.
Experience working with SAP or other ERP software and familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes is required.
Strong understanding of complex invoicing and special contract terms and agreements.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze, interpret, and present financial data effectively.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight quarter-end deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
Must be 18+ years old.
Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
