Job Summary:

Perform housekeeping activities in a manner that provides a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff. Housekeepers follow department policies and procedures for cleaning in accordance with infection control guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Follow cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) as outlined for department.
2. Clean resident rooms: disinfect, dust, mop, clean bathroom, collect trash and replenish paper products.
3. Wash windows, walls, Air vents as needed and complete special projects as assigned.
4. Clean all public restrooms and common areas.
5. Properly maintain all equipment used in performance of duties.

Qualifications:

1. Read and follow schedules, instructions, and labels.
2. Perform the physical requirements of the position which include standing, bending and lifting.
3. Work well with others; treat residents, co-workers, and staff with care and respect.
4. Protect resident confidentiality by not sharing information.
5. Adhere to all Wesbury personnel policies as they apply to the workplace.
